Bank delivers with $46,000 of grants

COMMUNITY groups from across the region have received funding for projects and infrastructure upgrades from the Willaura and Lak Bolac Community Bank.

The bank recently held a morning tea in Lake Bolac to announce recipients of its 2026 grants grogram.

A total of $46,000 was granted back to the community as part of the dividend returned to the community as a result of local residents banking with the local community bank.

This years recipients include;

·      Lake Bolac College - Energy Breakthrough project, $9,000

·      Woorndoo Rec Reserve - new oven, $6,402

·      Wickliffe Lake Bolac Football Netball Club - line marker and security shutter, $4,455

·      Willaura Community Development Group - crockery for Memorial Hall, $1,500

·      Willaura & District Kindergarten - pin boards, wet weather gear, relax mats, $3,734

·      Tatyoon Rec Reserve - area refurbishment, $3,000

·      Lake Bolac Bowling Club - mower, ramp & steps, rake, $5,000

·      Skipton Progress Association - Streatham/Carranballac/Skipton fire exhibition, book & film, $10,000

·      Lake Bolac Gardening/LBBNC - post fire gardening workshops, $3,595
