Bourke claims league best and fairest
Beaufort Crows under-13 netballer Eliza Bourke won the 2025 Central Highlands Netball League Best & Fairest Medal, polling 41 from a maximum 48 votes after a massive season at goal attack where she scored 243 goals.

Beaufort Junior Netball Director, Carla Baker, said it was a massive achievement.
“This is an incredible achievement and a reflection of Eliza’s talent, hard work and dedication to the game,” Baker said.
“The Beaufort Crows community is extremely proud of Eliza and her accomplishment.
“This recognition is a credit not only to her commitment but also to the support of her teammates, coaches, and club, who have helped nurture her development.”
Eliza was proud of her accomplishment.
“I feel really proud to win the best and fairest, but also I am a bit surprised because there are so many amazing players in our team, and also in the league,” Bourke said.
“I’m just happy that I could play my best and enjoy the season with my friends.”
On Saturday, Beaufort stunned unbeaten Clunes, winning a thriller by two goals at Learmonth Reserve in their quarter final, 22-20.
Thea Baker was named best-on-court, which was chosen by the umpires, and received the ball.
The Crows will now play the winner from Rokewood and Bungaree in two weeks for a place in the grand final.
