Business After Dark at the Wine Shed

November's Business After Dark took members of the Greater Ararat Business Network to Pomonal to discover Barney’s Bar and Bistro and the Wine Shed. The Wine Shed is a new edition to the popular restaurant established by Hadyn and Lucy Black from Black and Ginger Wines.

Lucy Black said she and husband Haydn wanted to establish a place where their wines could be showcased.

“We’ve transformed an underutilised function space into the Wine Shed, it’s our cellar door, the first time we have had a public tasting space to showcase our wines.

“We are very lucky to be able to work in this space,” she said.

Damon Henricksen from Barney’s said he and his partner Tash are loving their experience in Pomonal.

“We took over here in January so we’re getting close to 12 months and it has been a fun, exciting time.

“We are trying to increase the offering, still staying that gastric pub, but that little bit above normal with a big focus on events and catering,” he said.

Business After Dark events are held regularly at different businesses across Ararat Rural City.
