Final chapter for respected historian
A treasured cornerstone of the Stawell Historical Society team has called time on his tenure as an active contributor to the volunteer organisation. Society members gathered for an afternoon tea recently to honour Jim Melbourne’s remarkable contributions and thank him for the leadership and dedication he’s demonstrated during his three decades working to preserve local history and tell local stories.
Prolific author and local historian Jim Melbourne is retiring from the Stawell Historical Society after 30 years of service.
