Kookaburras look to continue undefeated season
In their first season in the Horsham Cricket Association, the Halls Gap Kookaburras are currently equal on top of the ladder with Swifts-Great Western, and when they play Blackheath Dimboola at Halls Gap Recreation Reserve tomorrow, they will look to keep that unbeaten run in tact.
In nine games, the Kookaburras have scored over 200 on six occasions, and it's no surprise when you have a closer look at their batting lineup.
Charlie McIntosh and Bailey Stirling are leading the competition with runs scored, while Adam McCormack is fifth. Having three players in the top five is a remarkable achievement, and the chances are not all three will fail in a game, so it gives the Kookaburras options.
McIntosh has accumulated 392 runs with an average of 56, Stirling has scored 337 runs at an average of 42.13, and McCormack has scored 279 runs at an average of 34.88.
Not only are they leading the way in the batting, but the bowling as well, with Rikki McIntosh sitting atop the wicket-takers with 15 at an average of 10.87.
Caleb Bretherton is also in the top ten, ranked in seventh position with 11 wickets at an average of 19.18. Bretherton also leads the fielding with 10 catches, three ahead of Sandeep K Raju.
