Stawell needed to win to make finals, and with the loss, it propelled Aradale into fourth place despite their loss to Stawell Golf.

The match was tight in two rinks, featuring two draws, while the winning rink for Lake Bolac delivered them the massive victory.

Skippered by Ian Park, featuring John McInnes, Robert Stewart and Roger Flanner, they won 30-18.

The two drawn rinks both finished in a 23-23 scoreline. The win was their fifth for the season.

At Stawell Golf Club, Aradale lost a thriller, 66-71, winning one rink on the day. Skippered by Gary Jamieson, featuring Gary Sherwell, Peter Oehm and Michael Dowling, they won 27-21.

Pushing a premiership contender on their home greens will give Aradale confidence heading into the finals.

Not needing a confidence boost are premiership favourites, Chalambar Golf, winning their twelfth match of the season, defeating Landsborough and District Bowling Club 82-47, dominating all three rinks.

Looking to make waves in the finals is Ararat VRI, who had a strong 84-61 victory over Ararat, winning two rinks.

Clayton Holcombe’s rink, featuring Craig Wight, Richard Schwab and Shelley Holcombe, won 28-15, and Shane Briggs' rink, featuring Brian Leehane, Paul Bulger and Mark Helmich, won 30-18.
