Norton Ford Blue claim under-12 premiership

Norton Ford Blue (NFB) are the under-12 Stawell Basketball Association premiers following a 10-point win over Split and Stawell (SS) on Tuesday night at the Stawell Sports and Aquatic Centre.

The game was tight in the first half, with both teams applying immense defensive pressure, and it was SS that took a one-goal lead into half-time.

NFB rallied in the second half, led by Billy Delahunty, scoring twenty points to nine to run out 32-22 winners.

Billy Delahunty was crowned the match MVP, with 28 points, as well as the league’s MVP, scoring 303 points in 14 games.

Rex Homden scored the other four points for NFB.

SS was led by Tom Margetson with 13 points, while Hunter Davies and Beau Freeland both scored two points apiece.
