REZ fight may not be over
THE fight over the eastern boundary of the Western Renewable Energy Zone may not be over after all. Three months after the zone was formally declared despite strong opposition from some farmers between Stawell and Donald, VicGrid has confirmed its boundary can still be changed.
Farmers Fightback’s “No REZ Map” shows the eastern section of the Western Renewable Energy Zone, outlined in blue, with pink properties representing land whose owners the group says oppose the REZ and renewable energy infrastructure. The map was produced by Farmers Fightback ahead of the zone’s declaration in June.
