Rhymney/Moyston competitive in loss to Laharum
Rhymney/Moyston may have lost to Laharum by seven wickets at Laharum Sports and Community Centre in round 13 of the Horsham Cricket Association's C-Grade season, but they were competitive, scoring their second-highest total for the season.
Rhymney/Moyston lost the toss and were sent into bat, and scored 4/179 off their 40 overs with Daniel Taylor leading the way with 48 runs. Solmon Riddell and Daniel Walker continued their good form with the bat with 41 and an unbeaten 47, respectively.
The total was their best since round one, where they scored 2/194 against the Tigers.
Third-placed Laharum showed their premiership credentials with the bat, chasing the total down in the 30th over, with just the loss of three wickets.
Tristan March retired not out on 53 for Laharum, while Rhymney/Moyston had three individual wicket-takers.
Clinton Slorach (1/32), Solmon Riddell (1/13), and Nathan Quick (1/33) all bowled beautifully.
