Saints close out encouraging year
Carngham Linton Saints under-17 netballers lost to Newlyn Cats by 11 goals in their semi-final at Buninyong Recreation Reserve in the Central Highlands Netball League, closing out a positive season.

The Saints made the finals after missing out last year, and on Saturday, they fought hard all game.
The Saints trailed by five goals at quarter-time and were in the hunt. The Cats started to forge ahead in the second quarter, scoring 11 goals to three to lead by 13 at three-quarter time.
The Saints threw everything at the Cats in the third quarter and reduced that margin to 12 points at three-quarter time.

The lead was too large to peg back in the last quarter, with the Saints outscoring the Cats by one goal again to lose 16-27.
Paige Lucy was outstanding in defence, while Kayla McNaulty was outstanding in the midcourt.
