Sleepout sharpens focus on homelessness
NORTHERN Grampians Shire Council chief executive Brent McAlister says spending a night on concrete and cardboard has given him a fresh appreciation of the hardship faced by people without secure housing. Mr McAlister took part in the Vinnies CEO Sleepout in Melbourne, joining hundreds of business and community leaders who slept outdoors to raise money for people experiencing or at risk of homelessness.
