Stevens kicks four in United’s massive win

Grampians United’s Dominic Stevens kicked four goals in the mixed under-14s thumping 10-5 win over Warrnambool Wolves in the South West Victorian Football Association at Gordon Street oval in Ararat on Sunday.

Aiden Guerrero found the back of the net twice, while Mahil Wills, Jack Christie, Braxton Young and Noah Notting also scored in the blowout win, which has them sitting fourth on the ladder with two rounds remaining.  

Not only did Stevens shine, but in other grades, Winston Mills and Nicholas Chard also scored hat-tricks.   

Mills starred in the mixed under-10s 6-2 win against the Wolves. Larry Holmes, Eamon Thomas and Flynn Till also found the back of the net. The result sees them hold fourth spot on the ladder.

Chard’s hat-trick came in Division Two’s 6-1 win over the Wolves. Sajit Hussain, Marco Billones, and Nathan Bena also found the back of the net in the win, which sees them move three games clear at the top of the ladder.   

United is sitting second in Division One following a thrilling 2-2 draw. Bula Wayane and Ivan Racedo both scored for United.   

In the other grades, the under-17s lost 0-8 and the mixed under-12s lost 0-3.
