Summer pool fun rolls on at Stawell Sports and Aquatic Centre

Families planning the remainder of the school holidays will find no shortage of ways to cool off and keep kids active at the Stawell Sports and Aquatic Centre, with a busy summer holiday program continuing through January. The centre’s 2025–26 school holiday schedule combines fun-filled pool events with structured swim programs, offering something for families looking for a special day out as well as those wanting to build confidence and skills in the water.

After a strong start before Christmas and the New Year, the program now shifts its focus to skill development and family activities running across the second half of the holidays.

An intensive five-day swim program will run from January 12 to 16, followed by a second program from January 19 to 23. The sessions are open to children aged six months and above, and are free for enrolled students, with a cost of $80 for non-members.

Mid-January also brings a series of family-friendly events designed to make the most of warm summer days. A family fun day will be held on January 18, offering water slides, inflatables, games, a barbecue and spot prizes, followed by an inflatable fun session on January 20.

The program will wrap up on Australia Day, January 26, with an Australia Day pool party featuring water slides, inflatables, music, giant games and prizes.

Centre staff say the program has been designed to balance structured learning with relaxed, social activities, while encouraging children to stay active and engaged during the holiday break.

Further information about session times, opening hours and casual visit fees is available via the Northern Grampians Shire Council website, or by contacting the Stawell Sports and Aquatic Centre directly.
