Tasty fundraiser returns
ONE of the most delicious fundraisers of all time is back for another year, with the Lions Christmas Cake and Pudding program now in full swing. The hugely popular Christmas-themed treats have been a major fundraising project of Lions Australia since 1965 and raised more than $70 million dollars, with all proceeds from the project donated back into the wider Australian community.
The delicious Lions Christmas cakes and puddings are on sale now at Mitre 10 Stawell to raise money for Lions Australia. Lions volunteer and Mitre 10 store owner David Jones is hoping he'll get a chance to talk to a few potential new volunteers for the local Lions club while he's busy selling the cakes.
