The best of Spring Fest

THIS year’s Skipton Spring Festival didn’t disappoint with well over a thousand people attending the annual event at the Skipton Golf and Bowls Club.

A photographic display was held in the clubrooms along with a display of local school children’s art and the spinners and weavers.

The 5 Vintage and Classic Car Clubs had a display of 44 magnificently restored vehicles.

Poo lotto, a raffle and lucky gate prizes added to the excitement of the day.

Skipton Progress Association reports there were 36 vendors including nine food vendors, who all reported brisk business.

Many have indicated they will return in 2026.

The petting zoo was a big hit with the littles and those who do not have the opportunity to see many farm animals.

Undoubtedly, the event highlight was the rubber boot toss.

With four sections, the crowd thoroughly enjoyed the event, with many spectacular tosses and some not so spectacular

It has been estimated that there were over 1700 visitors to the festival.
